Spartan Firearms & Tactical, Inc. 3 day AR15 Armorer Course is a comprehensive course on the AR15 weapon system. At the completion of this class you will have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform proper assembly/ disassembly, barrelling procedures, perform routine maintenance, building platforms and inspections. You will have a better understanding of the cycle of operation and how to troubleshoot component problems and keep your weapon operational. Students will also learn about gas port sizing and component specifications.

**This course is designed for patrol officers or tactical teams.**

The CQB Fundamentals Course is designed to teach the fundamentals of room entry. You will be introduced to the same building block skills taught to Tier 1 Operators, SWAT Teams, and other organizations during CQB training. Focus will be placed on the basic fundamentals and a firm understanding of tactics. Basic S.W.A.T. / S.R.T. School

Course Description

Tution Cost: $450.00 per student

This course is restricted to Law Enforcement, Military, SWAT Medics/Firefighter/ SWAT Physician 

 

Basic S.W.A.T. / S.R.T. School. Students will be introduced to basic SWAT/SRT topics to include:

Officer Survival Course

Description

The OSC (Officer Survival Course) is a dynamic, hands-on training program designed to give officers a renewal of the survival mindset and the tools to detect, avoid and win against numeorus styles of  attacks. The environments focuses on inside and around vehicles, exterior approaches, and inside structures.  Through lecture, demonstration, and reality-based scenario training, the officers will be encouraged to push traditional boundaries with an emphasis on tactical problem solving. This will be reinforced with stress inoculation. The officer will be evaluated on their ability to perform the required skills and tactics during a practical exercise.

ADVANCED S.W.A.T./S.R.T Course

The Advanced S.W.A.T./S.R.T. Course is designed for operators who have already completed a Basic S.W.A.T./S.R.T. Course (proof of prior course required). This course is Tennessee P.O.S.T. approved. (Course Cost: $550.00)

This course is physically and mental demanding and will require long hours. The course is (60) hours long (12) hours each day over the course of 5 days.

Advanced S.W.A.T./S.R.T. is designed to cover a variety of topics to include: CQB, low light operations, planning, organization, hostage rescue, vehicle assaults and extraction, distraction devices, and much more…..

This course will consist of: force on force training, live fire, defensive shooting, advanced CQB tactics, team movements, advanced team shooting skills, Ballistic Shield training, rapid deployment etc. Be Prepared for LONG Days….

Our TN P.O.S.T. (40 hour) Police Sniper Level 1 Course is designed for the law enforcement sniper or designated marksman, this course focuses on developing proficiency in tactical scoped rifle marksmanship, field craft, and observation/reporting skills.

Course Equipment List:

  1. Match grade rifle w/scope (MOA or MRAD)
  2. At least 500 rounds of match grade ammunition
  3. Battle Belt or similar with side arm
  4. Load bearing vest
  5. Spotting scope (not requires, but recommended

Low Light/Night Fighter Course

**This course is open to Law Enforcement/Military/ and Law Abiding Citizens.**

This 3 Day Low Light/Night Fighter course.  Our course is designed to arm students with with a solid understanding of the fundementals of no light and low light operations. The students will learn how to safely shoot, move, and communicate. Students will learn structure clearing and team movements. 

 

 

This class will encompass both Live fire and UTM/SIMMS training.

Counter Ambush

This course will provide the student with the ability to immediately recognize, react, and respond to counter an ambush. This course was developed for officers  as a proactive measure against the increase in frequency and lethality of ambushes against law enforcement officers. The training will prepare officers to employ “Left of Bang Theory” and advanced weapon combat tactics. Officers will be instructed on the dynamics and evolution of an ambush, rapid tactical counter measures, and team concepts in counter ambush response. At the completion of the  course, officers will have the mindset and tactical training to identify the dynamics leading to an ambush, counter the ambush, and WIN the FIGHT!!!

INSTRUCTOR LEVEL COURSES

Firearms Instructor Course

 Description

Our Tennessee P.O.S.T. Certified Firearms Instructor Course is designed to provide firearms instructors with a familiarization of a variety of firearms, to include care and maintenance and the skills necessary to perform as a firearms instructor.  The program also introduces instructors to teaching techniques as well as identifying and resolving shooting problems/errors.Our course brings numerous philosophies to the table from the tactical world, marksmanship, competition arena.

Course Cost: $495.00 per student (group discounts are avaliable)

Prerequisites/Course Requirements

 

1. Students must be a  law abiding citizen in good standing, a full-time law enforcement officer/agent or military. If Law Enforcement: (The student must have a POST Certified Instructor Development Course or a letter from GDI stating the student will be attending an Instructor Development Course in the future).

2.  Must be in good physical condition with no medical restrictions.

3.  Must demonstrate individual firearms proficiency by successfully completing a handgun skills assessment.

4.  Scoring a minimum of 85% on a standard course of fire during the first day of the program. The student will be given three (3) opportunities to complete this task. A third failure will result in dismissal from the Class.

5.  Students will also be required to pass a written exam.

6.  Students will be required to pass a shoot out course on the final day of practicals. Student is required to shoot a 90% or above score to graduate the course. 

7.  Students will be required to conduct teach backs and develop lesson plans.

  •  Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle (AR-15 format), and/or Sub-Gun.
  • Battle Belt, Duty Belt, Reputable Holster (Outside the Waist), and/or Reputable Mag Pouches (Gear not authorized for use are:  Shoulder Holsters, Cross Draw Holsters, Inside the belt holsters, appendix holsters or Ankle Holsters.)

    Note: Only factory ammunition is allowed in these course. ABSOLUTELY NO reloaded ammunition will be permitted. 

     

    INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE

     

    Course Description

     

    Course Cost: $195.00 per student

    This 40 hour (5 day course) class teaches the basic skills necessary to prepare and present knowledge and psychomotor based training in a classroom environment.  This class is best suited for students are instructors (new & seasoned), Field Training Officers, or those who inspire to become instructors or FTOs.  A high level of student participation is required.  Topics during the course include, but are not limited to:

    • The learning process – adult learning principles and styles, environments
    • Systematic design, development and delivery of training
    • Methods of instruction for teaching both theory and skills
    • Instructor roles and responsibilities
    • Facilitation skills
    • Using training aides effectively
    • This course is TN P.O.S.T. Approved

     

     

    Course Requirements
    • Students are requried to give public presentations and engage in a variety of debate topics.
    • All students are required to fully participate in the course.
    • Students will be required to develop lesson plans and PowerPoint during the course.
    • The course will provide students with a thumb drive and notebook.
    • Students should bring a lap top or similar device.
    • Students must participate in the entire program to graduate.
    • Students must pass final presentation exam.
